The Irish Dodds

The Irish Dodds

The Irish Dodds are now available on the Haroldstreet website as an online tick list and for GPS Waypoints.

The list is co-authored by Michael Dewey and Myrddyn Phillips and comprises all Irish hills 500m and above and below 600m in height that have a minimum drop of 30m.  Accompanying the list is a sub-set of hills named the Subdodds, these are the Irish hills 500m and above and below 600m in height that have 20m or more and below 30m of drop.

The Irish Dodds have been extracted from The 500-Metre Tops of Ireland list that we co-author and which was first published in 2000 on Michael’s website and later published on the Hill Bagging website.

The Irish Dodds by Michael Dewey and Myrddyn Phillips

By having this list published on the Haroldstreet website the names of the two people who originated the list where the detail for the Irish Dodds is extracted from, retain their names as authors and list compilers against the new list.  This we thought appropriate.

We would like to express our thanks to Phil Newby; webmaster at the Haroldstreet website, and to Dan Bailey for the coverage of the list’s publication on the UKHillwalking website.
